Library Of Congress Taps Aquent To Provide Web Services For New Visitor’s Experience Project

BOSTON, Mass.—Aquent,a global professional services firm, has been awarded a $5.2 million Web services contract by the Library of Congress to provide expertise on the library’s New Visitor’s Experience project. The contract, which includes five option years, is expected to run through June 2010.

Under the contract guidelines, Aquent will provide application and interface modifications for the project, create code, and develop Silverlight, as well as other Web-based activities targeting kindergarten through 12th-grade audiences.

The New Visitor’s Experience will launch in the spring of 2008, allowing millions of visitors the opportunity to experience the library’s unparalleled collection through a seamless integration of content, design, and technology.
