Have you been searching for a way to learn jQuery, the popular JavaScript library used by more than three-quarters of the top 10,000 websites?

Well, consider your search at an end because Aquent Gymnasium has just launched a free online course called jQuery Building Blocks: 5 Ways to Cut Your Development Time in Half.

The course, developed by long-time front-end developer Dave Porter, consists of six lessons (three and a half hours of actual instruction time) aimed at teaching students how to use jQuery to:

  • Create a variety of visual effects
  • Add complex, fully functional widgets (such as an image carousel) to a page
  • Work with and customize jQuery plug-ins
  • Handle “events”
  • Pull in data for use in a web page or application

What's more, students will walk away with a framework for figuring out how jQuery can help them solve any development challenges they might face.

If you want to more done quickly with JavaScript, then we invite you to enroll (if you have never taken an Aquent Gymnasium course, you will be asked to register prior to enrolling).

If jQuery isn't near the top of your "must learn" list, then you may be interested to know that we will soon be launching courses on UX fundamentals, Node.js, Bootstrap 3.0, information design, and content strategy.

Register with Aquent Gymnasium and we'll let you know as soon as they go live.
