Creative Australians are heading to Japan on the back of strong economic growth and Australia’s leading creative marketing and communications recruitment specialist Aquent announcing the launch of its fifth office in Japan in Sapporo.
The Sapporo office marks the 19th in the Asia Pacific Region and the 28th outside North America.
“Strong economic conditions and a dynamic market in Japan mean the demand for talent is increasing, particularly for those who speak fluent English. Companies are more willing to go through the process required to attract the best candidates,” said Aquent CEO Greg Savage.
“Sapporo is the fifth largest city in Japan and presents an excellent opportunity for Aquent to increase its presence in Asia as well as further cement our local ties in the region.”
The office is being managed by Aquent’s Japan Regional Director Yoshiko Fuji and is presently staffed by two Aquent agents.
More than 50 per cent of companies in Japan anticipate revenue growth over 10 per cent in the next 12 months according to the annual Aquent salary survey.
An increase in consumer confidence and spending as well as the proliferation of international brands and multinational businesses is expected to have a knock-on effect in the advertising, marketing and public relations sectors.
