Shanghai, China (August 21, 2006) – Aquent, a global consulting firm specialising in talent solutions for the marketing, communications and creative sectors has hired Alicia Tay and Lily Xu as recruitment specialists for their Shanghai operations. Alicia will be focusing on consulting to the advertising sector and lily will be concentrating on corporate sales and marketing solutions for the professional services sector.

Alicia Tay has seven years experience in the advertising industry. A Singaporean, she earned her BA degree in Communications in 1994. Shortly after graduating, she found her first job as an Account Executive with EURO RSCG Singapore. After two years, she moved to Dentsu Singapore and then to BBDO Singapore where she gained fantastic experience working on the VISA account. After a break to start a family, Alicia moved to Shanghai in February 2006 and has joined our Advertising Team to focus on account servicing.
Lily Xu was born in Shanghai and is a Politics and Law graduate from Shanghai Teacher University. With teaching and adminstration experience behind her, she moved into a sales and marketing role with TNT Logistics. After three years learning everything there is to know about sales and marketing, Lily changed careers and moved into a recruitment role for a global recruitment company, where she worked for nearly two years. Lily’s experience in sales and marketing as well as recruitment makes her the perfect person to drive Aquent’s business in the professional services sector in China.
