Daphne van der Kieft, Aquent’s Asia Pacific General Manager of Learning Services and former Senior Creative Consultant will move out of her current role within the learning and development team to lead the charge in the global staffing firm’s growth in Sydney’s ever-changing digital industry.
After five years successfully building and running a busy Sydney creative temp desk and two years training recruiters across the Asia Pacific region, Van der Kieft’s new designation is that of Digital Manager.
“We are all very excited by Daphne’s recent appointment”, says Aquent’s Regional Director for Australia and New Zealand, Simon Lusty. “The idea is to dedicate a senior-level resource to further deepen our relationships with our digital clients and talent”.
“Her unique background within advertising and creative staffing and her passion for all things digital makes Daphne the ideal person for this role”, adds Aquent’s International Digital Practice Leader, Steve Hutson. “Besides, it’s a natural step for us given Daphne’s wealth of experience and the fact we’ve experienced such growth in the demand for digital talent”.
The newly created position will help cement Aquent’s presence within Sydney’s digital agencies from a creative standpoint as well as help forge relationships with the city’s major corporate players from digital perspective.
Working closely with Aquent’s niche digital team, Daphne’s responsibility is to ensure Aquent’s visibility so that clients and talent in the digital industry receive the best level of service, and view Aquent as a true digital specialist.
