BOSTON (Jan. 13, 2009) – Aquent today announced the promotion of Randy Ricker to graphic design practice director.
Ricker, who joined Aquent in 1992 and has managed some of its largest offices, most recently served as a regional vice president overseeing Aquent’s operations in the Northeast, the Midwest and Texas.
In the role of graphic design practice director, Ricker will be dedicated to reinforcing Aquent’s position as the talent agency with the most in-depth understanding of the design field. “I have a passion for quality design,” said Ricker. “Over the past 16 years, I’ve witnessed many changes in the industry. As technology has improved, designers have become more and more specialized and more and more scarce. I am committed not only to elevating the importance of design in the marketplace, but also to helping companies identify and engage top design talent.”
Ricker’s role is one of four new positions created at Aquent to strengthen and expand its expertise in critical segments of design and marketing.
“Randy Ricker is relentlessly committed to adding value for the customer and the people he serves,” said Ann Webster, president of Aquent’s North American staffing division. “I’ve worked with him for more than a decade and have found Randy’s leadership style to be both strategically farsighted and intensely practical. He has a real knack for breaking down complex problems and concepts into focused initiatives and effective activities. He’s going to be great in this role.”
