London (May 1, 2007)—Aquent, the world’s largest marketing and creative staffing company, has announced today the acquisition of Recruit Media, a premier UK consultancy providing recruitment solutions to the digital, editorial, print design and production staffing markets. The acquisition consolidates Aquent’s position as the leading marketing, communications and creative recruitment solutions provider within the UK.
“This will help us deepen our market penetration and take us into some new business areas,” said Stefan Ciecierski, Aquent’s Managing Director Europe. “Recruit Media will do this by complementing what we currently do and bringing us new clients and business sectors. They have superb attention to service detail and client satisfaction together with a proven saturation of their niche industry sectors, it’s a perfect fit within our planned development.”
With the acquisition of Recruit Media, Aquent in London quickly strengthens, and confirms, its market leadership as the largest Aquent market globally and the largest single provider of marketing, communications and creative recruitment solutions in any city anywhere in the world. This follows on one week after Aquent's acquisition of pricejamieson, which again adds to the complementary range of niche businesses that is now Aquent UK.
Through Recruit Media, Aquent is able to establish a major role in within the central and local government, public sector, education and charities sectors where up to recently it had only a minor presence.
Aquent’s database of prospective candidates – the UK’s largest, now in excess of 175,000 – gives clients and candidates an unprecedented choice and opportunity.
With over 110 staff in London, and expectations to double in the near future, Aquent is the only marketing, communications and creative solutions business giving a ‘one-stop-shop’ service to clients.
“As individuals we are very driven, and that comes through in the way we have built and structured our business,” said Melissa Coxon, Managing Director of Recruit Media. “This acquisition is good for us. Aquent has a future full of opportunity. It has given us the incentive to set out goals higher and become more driven and focused towards success and growth than ever before.”
Both Melissa Coxon and Melanie Bennett will remain in their roles as Managing Directors of Recruit Media.
Recruit Media’s in-depth knowledge of the editorial, digital, print and production sectors within central and local government, public sector, education and charities will now be supported by Aquent’s global network of 70 offices in 17 countries.
