John co-founded Aquent in 1986 while an undergraduate at Harvard University. Within five years he grew the company from dorm room startup to the 12th fastest growing private company in America. He has served as CEO from the beginning.

Over the course of his career John has been widely recognized for his entrepreneurial leadership and accomplishments. Accolades include: Boston Business Journal's, "40 Under 40", Mass High Tech's, "High Tech All Star," finalist for the Harvard Business School Club of New York’s, "America’s Entrepreneur Award," and Ernst and Young’s, “Entrepreneur of the Year” for New England. He was the subject of a Fast Company cover story and was the protagonist in a Harvard Business School case study.

John has served as president of the Massachusetts Association of Staffing Services and as chairman of the board of directors of Angie’s List (NASDAQ:ANGI). He also has served as a board member for the American Staffing Association, AIGA, and the Recycling Advisory Committee for the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts.

John earned a bachelor's degree cum laude from Harvard College and an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School.

Cheryl heads up the Technology sector and Aquent's Outsourcing division, Aquent Studios. Susie is the president of Vitamin T, the division of Aquent focused exclusively on providing digital creatives to ad agencies and mid-sized companies. Susie joined Aquent in 1999 as an interactive agent. During her tenure, she has held many roles, from market leadership to regional management to leading an interactive design practice to starting up Vitamin T. Her passion for creative and knowledge of the interactive industry helps clients build teams that launch brands, engage customers, and drive revenues.

Nunzio Domilici, the fourth employee hired by the three founders, was actually the first “temp” placed on assignment by the fledgling staffing firm back in 1987.

From the outset, Nunzio has played a key role in developing Aquent’s operations. He served as VP of Finance while Aquent’s revenues grew to $40 million. As VP of IT, Nunzio oversaw the development of Aquent’s proprietary, real-time interactive database.

Prior to becoming Aquent’s CFO in 2000, Nunzio spearheaded Aquent’s expansion into the world of high-end graphic design at the helm of Aquent’s “Portfolio” business unit and then as president of strategy and evangelism, responsible for overall business strategy and alliances with key professional organizations, including the American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA).

Nunzio graduated from Harvard College in 1987 with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology.

Larry Bolick serves as the CIO for Aquent and is responsible for the care and feeding of our global technology infrastructure in support of our businesses. Under his watch, Aquent consolidated its information technology into an enterprise model while assimilating numerous acquisitions and adopting new approaches, such as cloud computing and agile development, early on.

His career path has blended systems engineering at Bell Labs with Big 8 management consulting on Wall Street with CIO gigs for global enterprises. Given that he still has four years of college basketball eligibility left, however, he continues to hold out hope for that elusive Division 1 scholarship.

Steve co-founded Aquent in 1986 in his dorm room at Harvard University. For 30 years he has played a central role in developing and implementing the company’s strategy, in roles ranging from billable creative talent to president of two operating divisions. Steve currently leads select global initiatives, including running Aquent’s operations in Japan, where he lived for five years.

Previously, Steve managed venture capital investments for Harvard University’s endowment fund and advised Fortune 500 clients for the Boston Consulting Group. He has served as a board member of a broad range of public and private technology businesses, including Angie’s List (NASDAQ:ANGI) where he served on the audit and compensation committees.

Steve earned a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a former radio talk show host and is fond of saying, “A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for.”

Possessed of the same entrepreneurial spirit that has driven Aquent from the outset, Mia Wenjen launched the West Coast operations and grew the Los Angeles market into one of the company’s largest. Mia went on to oversee the Boston market, manage an internal start-up aimed at the temporary placement of accountants, and serve as publisher of 1099 Magazine, the offline version of Aquent’s cheeky webzine for independent professionals, 1099.com.

She blogs on parenting, children's books, and education at PragmaticMom.com and is the co-creator of Multicultural Children's Book Day, a non-profit celebrating diversity in children's books.

Mia graduated from Harvard College cum laude in history and science in 1987, and earned an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management in 1993.

Mike became “Employee #5" of Laser Designs in 1986 while a Harvard undergrad. He opened MacTemps' first remote office, in Manhattan, and managed it until 1990, before returning to Boston. Since then, Mike has managed our HR function, global expansion, Finance, Marketing, and IT, and served as COO for many years. He is currently on Aquent's Management Board.

Kelly is passionate about innovation within her teams, and in quickly adapting to the changing needs of her clients. She has been key in evolving internal training, tools, and processes to drive better partnerships with customers. Her teams have been on the forefront of sharing new products and solutions with clients that differentiate Aquent from all of its competitors.

Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Virginia Tech.

Zac leads software strategy for the company, leveraging best-of-breed and custom-built solutions to power the staffing organization. He started as a contractor developing a resume site for one of Aquent's founders in 1999. In 2000, he was asked to come on-board and launch Aquent's in-house development team to move the company from a client/server application to the web. Zac now leads the Software Development, Web, and Product teams at HQ and looks for innovative ways to use technology to drive the business and create competitive advantage.

Zac holds a BA in philosophy and a MS in artificial intelligence.
